@Regrann from @architagautam - Matar ki chaat/ peas chaat is another popular and healthy street food available mostly during winters in northern regions of India. I have cooked this for our evening snack today with a hot cup of tea !!
This recipe is inspired by @alwaysbhukaa insta story 😁 Yes these are the recipes that I have almost forgotten after living so many years away from home. But I do remember their tastes 😋😋
This chaat is super quick, healthy and so filling 😜😛 Here goes it's recipe.
Pressure cook two cups green peas for 2 whistles on high flame. Switch off flame and open the pressure cooker after a minute. This method makes sure that the vibrant green color of peas stays and doesn't fades away.
Now heat 1 tsp oil in a pan/ kadhai. Add cumin seeds, asafoetida to it followed by grated ginger and chopped green chillies. Once the raw smell of ginger fades, add boiled peas and spices - coriander powder, red chilli powder, a pinch of garam masala. Sauté them for few mins on low flame till peas are tender. Switch off flame. Add fresh chopped coriander leaves, lime juice and mix well. That's all your #peaschaat is all ready. We love to top it with some bhujiya (haldirams) and crushed papdi 🙈🙈
Hope you all are having a fabulous weekend !!
