Look at the determination in her beautiful face 💪 I am in awe of these incredible girls who continue to fight and work their hearts out to get their education, and realize their full potential, in the face of incredibly difficult circumstances. They inspire me to work harder when I find myself indulging in a little 'this is so hard' pity party. I don't know you Beautiful, but your story helped me be a better person today, and for that I thank you 💕
I was born in Kalembe, but there is much war in the village and I want to leave. Each time the fighting
starts, many people are killed and I am forced to run and hide in the jungle, sometimes for days.
Last month my pastor was abducted, and he was killed with a machete.
My parents never went to school, and they're just simple farmers, so they want me to be educated. They want me to have the life they never had. Even though I want to leave, I want an education more.
I want to become a nurse one day. Justice Rising is helping me to get a good education so I can change my village. -Soki, age 14
